Career Forum – Novelis meets ECE engineering students

The 8th edition of the ECE (Ecole Centrale d’Electronique Paris – Lyon) Engineering School Career Forum will be held on November 9th, 2021 at the NEWCAP Event Center. This year the forum will be held in hybrid mode: there will be a virtual part on November 16, 17 and 18, 2021.

The mission of ECE, a century-old school of digital technologies, is to train generalist and high-tech engineers, with expertise in major business sectors, with a solid scientific base to adapt to the technological future, knowing how to understand economic realities and able to evolve efficiently in companies and organizations, in a national and international context. Each year, it awards the title of engineer to “young high-tech talents” from 8 different technological majors and following very diverse career paths:

• AI and connected objects
• Cyber security
• Data science
• Finance and quantitative engineering
• Health and technology
• New energies and environment
• Aeronautics
• Autonomous connected vehicle

This year again, more than 1,000 students will participate to the ECE Career Forum, looking for the internship of their dreams.

Novelis teams, represented by Olivier Chosson, Director of Operations, Linda Mefidene, HR Manager and Medina Belkhedra, Human Resources Manager, will be present on the Forum to present the career opportunities at Novelis and to propose to the engineering students of the school two end of studies / pre-employment internships:

• Design and development engineer

Our design and development engineers are involved in the implementation of new business functionalities on the products marketed by Novelis.As part of this internship, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in architecture and technical expertise and be supported by experienced technical managers. Want to become a technical expert, technical project manager or project director? We offer you personalized support in your career development.

• R&D / Innovation Engineer

Our R&D / Innovation Engineers work in our R&D Laboratory on our “Smart-programming” research program. The objective of the program is to automatically and intelligently transform a document in human language, such as specifications, into a final Web application ready for production.The “5 stamps, 5 jobs” game with high-end prizes for students to win such as drones, tickets to a game in a private box at the Stade de France…International mobility, jobs & soft skills workshops: “How to negotiate your hiring conditions”; “Refactoring a ReactJS component and an ExpressJS controller”…A Services & Advice Corner for students with the stands of the Canadian Embassy, Business France, Million Roads…A photo studio, a video shooting team…

It is the unmissable annual meeting of companies with ECE students, a century-old engineering school, ranked in the top 10 of engineering schools in France. More than 70 companies and governmental organizations come to meet more than 1000 ECE students, future engineers, in 5th and 4th year. More than 700 internship offers are proposed to the students."
